There are 2 audiences that Altrui are in the middle of; the donors of the eggs, and the recipients. Our mission was to increase relevancy and visibility for the donors, who are of scarce supply but are still out there and are searching the net.


The foundations of an SEO project and what decides the collection/topic of search terms that one would like to appear for is the website itself, and the stuff that's on it. Our first port of call after deciding the best combination of key phrases to target the donors, was to firstly make sure that the website was as cleanly structured as possible in SEO terms, and to ensure that the landing pages were segregated and targeted their allocated keywords through the relevancy of content on each page. This basically tells Google that the website is firstly reliable & works, and what the website is actually all about. Allowing Google to decide what to rank the site for.

This, obviously, is just the tip of the iceberg, as there are many other websites out there talking about the same thing that Altrui are talking about. So why should Google rank Altrui above them? Firstly, we needed to ensure Altrui had lots of resources on their site with useful content, frequently being added to help both educate/inform their audience and to show Google that they are a reliable source of information. Next, we needed to build the site's authority by acquiring links from some reputable, relevant and trusted websites. We noticed that Altrui have already received some press after being on TV, and we wanted to use this to our advantage, as there were some pretty big publications already talking about Altrui and its practices, etc. but we managed to go back to these editors/journalists, and have a link point back to the Altrui website from within the articles. This was one of a few ways that we would get referrals from authoritative websites.
